Economic Uncertainty Leads to New World Order?

leave a comment »

With the instability in the US market trialing into the world market, we need to caution ourselves. One wrong move from America, or any other county for that matter, cold lead to disaster and push our fanatical wows over the top. The world market would be devastated if there were another event like 9/11. So what do we do? It may be too late for a good solution, but the recent events have started a chain reaction that I just can’t ignore.

Glenn Beck, a CNN television and radio host had this to say about the current conditions in the market:

… It’s not just money that they’re throwing at this problem; it is also our freedom. America, we have — we have fundamentally changed. The America that you and I grew up in is gone. And maybe it’s gone forever, if we don’t wake up now. …

There is a global meltdown coming. It is a global depression. And one world currency, and one world financial system is the end game. China said last week they want one global currency. France said yesterday or the day before that they want one world order, a new world order at the end of this event. …

As I listened to this statement I realized something fundamental, the idea of one world order, or government, as well and one world currency seems enticing. Up front the idea would solve many problems and may lead to peace. The fundamental problem with this is that there would than be one world leader.

Step back and think about this for a moment, especially if you really thought this is a good idea. I have heard this story before for the Bible. According to the Bible, there will be one world government controlled by the Antichrist. In Revelations 17 many Bible scalars believe this is referring to one world government and religion. Since we are on the topic of religion, where would one world religion come from? Currently the most powerful religion is lead be the Roman Catholic church. Many world leaders profess there faith to this church, as well as to the leader of the church, the Pope. Now I am not saying that the Pope is the Antichrist, but thing about it for a moment. Let’s speculate for a minute, and say that there was a one world order that came from the current economic conditions, the leader of this government could likely be the beast as stated in Revelations 19. The Pops, who has already claimed to be the living embodiment of God, would most likely be a player in this government, much as is in most of the European countries. This would lead to any entry point for the beast to win over billions of people.

Another element of Revelations that I see coming to light is the mark of the beast. We now have our one world order, currency and religion; you need an easy way to keep track of people. The technology has already been tested and is currently in use, RFID. These small microchips can be placed underneath the skin, perhaps in the forearm or forehead… making it impossible to do anything without being tracked. The RFID could contain all our personal information, including baking information, leading to smart money. Bingo, you now can’t buy anything without the chip which is controlled by non other than the beast! What happens now?

The Bible has a lot to say about the end times. Nearly every book of the Bible contains prophecy regarding the end times. Taking all of these prophecies and organizing them can be difficult. Here is a very brief summary of what the Bible declares will happen in the end times:

Christ will remove all born-again believers who are part of the Church (New Testament saints) from the earth by an event known as the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51ff). These believers will be rewarded for good works and service during their time on earth at the Judgment Seat of Christ or will lose rewards, but not eternal life, for lack of service and obedience (1 Corinthians 3:11-15; 2 Corinthians 5:10).

The antichrist (beast) will come into power and sign a peace pact (covenant) with Israel for seven years (Daniel 9:27). This seven year period of time is known as the Tribulation. During the Tribulation, there will be terrible wars, famines, plagues, and natural disasters. God will be pouring out His wrath against sin, evil, and wickedness. The Tribulation will contain the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and the seven seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments.

About halfway through the 7 years, the antichrist will break the peace covenant with Israel and make war against them. The antichrist will perform the abomination of desolation and set up an image of himself to be worshipped in the temple (Daniel 9:27; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-10). The second half of the Tribulation is known as the Great Tribulation and the time of Jacob’s trouble.

At the end of the seven year Tribulation, the antichrist will launch a final attack on Jerusalem, culminating in the Battle of Armageddon. Jesus Christ will return, destroy the antichrist and his armies and cast them into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:11-21). Christ will then bind Satan in the Abyss for 1000 years and will rule His earthly kingdom for this 1000 years (Revelation 20:1-6).

At the end of the 1000 years, Satan is will be released, defeated again, and then cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:7-10). Christ then judges all unbelievers (Revelation 20:10-15) at the Great White Throne Judgment, casting them all into the lake of fire. Christ will then usher in a New Heaven and New Earth and the New Jerusalem – the eternal dwelling place of believers. There will be no more sin, sorrow, or death (Revelation chapters 21-22).

Take heart, I did not write this to scar you, if you are a believer you have nothing to fear. Much of what I have said is speculation based on biblical facts. It may or may not happen like this, and it may not happen even in our lifetimes. If you are not a believer it is not too late, but you must hurry, time is running out. One thing is for sure, things have been set in motion that may change our world forever, and may lead to the grate day that we have all been promised.

Today’s Steve-Note separates Fact form Rumor

leave a comment »

Summery of today’s Apple ‘Let’s Rock’ keynote.

  • iTunes is the #1 music software and is getting a update with version 8. There is now HD content (about time) in the store priced decently at $2.99. There is a new way to browse you content in iTunes, which makes it look a lot more like the other Apple software applications (aka iPhoto). Moreover, probably the most interesting improvement is the Genius function. It will make playlists from songs in your library that go together, as well as recommend music that you may like from the store.
  • iPod classic reduced to only the thin model at $249 for 120GB (white or black, choose your pick). That is over 30,000 songs! What ever.
  • iPod Nano, redesigned (see the rumor picture here) to make it the smallest iPod ever. The design includes curved aluminum, curved glass, enhanced user interface… They added an accelerometer, which enables some cool futures, like shack the Nano to shuffle to the next song! It is available in a “nano-chromatic” colors, and starts at $149 for the 8GB and $199 for the 16GB.
  • Apple introduced new headphones the include inline controls and a microphone.
  • iPod Touch has been redesigned as well. In now includes integrated volume controls as well as a built in speaker (it is about time). Both the iPod Nano and the Touch include the Genius Playlist creation. The new Touch is also Nike + iPod compatible (whatever). The price has dropped (still not cheap enough) to $229 for the 8GB, $299 for the 16GB and $399 for the 32GB (wow, solid state drives are expensive).
  • Lastly 2.1 software update was introduced, which includes the famous Apple ‘bug fixes’!

Well there you have it, some of the rumors were true and some things we can keep wishing for, like the subscription music service. There is always next time Apple!

The Rumor May Be True!

leave a comment »

You may recall the rumors about a new iPod Nano a couple of weeks ago; well it looks like they may be true, at least in part. Tom Krazit of CNET has been invited to the rumored Apple event!

Apple has sent out invitations for a music-related event next week, and the smart money is on new iPods.

The invitation, titled “Let’s Rock,” went out Tuesday morning inviting media to the Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts in San Francisco next Tuesday at 10 a.m. PDT. Rumors have been building for weeks that Apple is set to introduce new iPods at what will be its fourth September iPod event in as many years…

While this does not mean that we will see a new iPod, it dose seem a little more likely! Go Apple! To read more from my post on the rumord iPod, click here.

As I said, I will keep you all up-to-date on the developing home situation. The house that we went to look at, and were trying to finance has also fallen through. We are now on to option C, which there is no option C as of now. We are going to move for sure, we just do not know where. Please keep us in your prayers and I will let you know if anything changes!

Update!

leave a comment »

Hello everyone! I just wanted to take a second and let you all know what is going on. The last couple of weeks have been crazy and thinks have not been going all that great for Jennie and I.

First, as many of you know, Jennie and I have been trying to buy a house for the past couple of months. As a mater of fact, we have been pre-approved for the loan and we have been living in it; however, the home loan was dependent on me getting hired on full time at my job. I have worked temporary there for the last seven months, and am having a good time. I like what I do, and truly feel that I am suppose to be there. I don’t always get along with the people; however, I think there is a great opportunity for me to try to witness to them. I will need prayer here.

Next, since we have not been able to secure the loan we are getting pressure from the people that we are buying the house from. We have been paying rent to them on a regular basis, but they are getting angry that we are not able to get the loan. This time in limbo, so to speak, has given Jennie and I time to reflect on our decision to move down to Kentucky and buy this house. While we feel that we were being let to move to Kentucky, we now think that this house was not the decision that we are suppose to make. We do; however, feel it is time for us to settle down, and maybe start a family. Now before I get a lot of flack for that statement, remember we dated about four years before we got married and have been married for more that two and a half years.

In addition to all of the above, I ran through our finances, and while the bank feels confident that we can afford this house, I am not so sure, again leading me to believe that this is not the right choice for us. One day while I was home trying to figure out what we were going to do, I felt like I should go look for other places for us to live. I came across this nice little house in the country with lots of land. This house is newer than the one we are in now, and needs less work. The best part of all is it’s price, about $15,000 less than the one we are in now. It is also about the same size, so it would be a better choice. And with the large back yard we would have a place for kids to play. While I don’t know for sure if this house will work for us, or if it is the right decision, I do feel it is better than where we are now.

We are going to look at the house latter this week, and talk to the relater about our options. There is still one problem, we still will not be able to get the loan because I am temporary. I could go and find another job; however, like I said earlier, I feel like I am suppose to be there for now. What Jennie and I need more than anything right now is your prayer. We need the Lord’s help, we need Him to point us in the right direction. If this house we are in now is not meant to be, which I think it is now, He will show us a way out, which may be this new lower priced home. Even if it is not this new home, He will provide for us and He has in the past, but things just feel out of control right now. Please prey for us, pray that we will be shown the right decision to make, and if this new home is His will for us, that we will be able to make things work.

I will let you know on a regular bases how everything works out, please be praying for us, as we don’t know where to go from here.

New iPod Nano!?

with 2 comments

This could be the next big thing for the iPod product family. I think that this could be a real photo, taking into account that Apple is moving into a more aerodynamic form factor. Just take the new iPhone or the Mac Book Air. Rumor also has it that the entire iPod line could be redesigned; in addition, they would drop the price of the whole product line to be more competitive with the reasonably priced iPhone at $199. Let’s look at the facts, Apple has confirmed that there will be a new product that will change everything. Apple has also stated to its investors that the next quarter could see a loss in profits. All of this points to the possibility of the price drop. Also in the rumor world is the release of a new major revamp of iTunes. I don’t know any details; however, it would be nice to see a subscription model introduced to the iTunes music store. All of this could prove to be true as soon as September 9th. One thing is for sure, regardless to if this picture is real or not, Apple is about to change the world again, and I can’t wait to see what is next!

Brooke’s Thoughts – My take on music

with 2 comments

I sometimes have a hard time trying to come up with stuff to write; however, I would like to share what my cosine has to say about music. You may not agree with what she has to say; but, for her age, she shows great wisdom. It was originally posted in her notes on Facebook, and I have recommended that she start a real blog…

Hey people…Brooke here (ummm, yeaaaah……). I decided it might be fun to randomly write random notes about random stuff that is…random. SO yeah! Welcome to Brooke’s Thoughts #1-My take on music.

Have you ever seen the movie, “Titanic”? I haven’t, but even if YOU haven’t, you probably know the song…yeaaah, that song… “My Heart Will Go On”.

Isn’t it the most obnoxious song ever?!

My point is, music has the power to change emotions! It has the power to change you attitude! It has the power to change your reactions to things! It has the power to change your LIFE!…

…And that song just makes me wanna smack the screamin’ chick offa the boat while yelling, “Clam up, freak!” until she screams like a limping monkey.

Um, yeah.

My mom tells a story about this pastor she heard speak once. He said, “When you listen to rock music, it does something traumatizing to your brain! If you listen to rock music, for instance, the brain waves corrode and you cannot lift your arms up for too long! BUT!!!!!!! When you listen to CLASSICAL music, your brain waves work right and you CAN stick your arms up…”

WAIT! Freeze right there?! At that point my mom and I agreed…Since when do you need to stick your arms up when you listen to classical music?! I mean, seriously, do you like…go into a store, hear bach and all of the sudden, strike a pose, shoot your arms in the air, fingers in the “rock on” sign…shouting at the top of your lungs…”YEEEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH-UHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Rawk ON, BACH!!!!!!”?

UH, last time I remember…no.

Country music for instance has a power to it. I cannot stand country music, I am a yankee, yeah, I know, I don’t belong here. I’m reminded everyday when I flip through the radio stations and there are at least, oh, only a few, say, um, only ninety-eight different ones, yeah, that’s about it. And the occasional gangstah rap station, 60’s rock, gospel, r&b and…oh yeah, more country…

Country music has the power to make a southern gal bawl like a baby and sigh at the crooning of a cowboy.

Most girls here in NC find that romantic and emotional.

I just find that slightly weird…

The moral of this story is that music is so different! God gave us so much to choose from when it comes to music, so what do we do with it?

My personal thought is that all music is ok…but not all LYRICS are ok. If a band has foul language in at least one song, I can almost assure you they will probly be more song just like that. I choose to avoid bands/singers like that, it seems safer that way.

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” -Philippians 4:8

You all probly remember this verse from awana back in those good old days. The meaning has never changed, the meaning is still beautiful. We need to honor God by what we cram in our ipods, computers, cd players…blahblahblahblah.

I know, I have heard this saying soooo many times, it makes me wonder if they really are serious in what they are saying.

“I just listen to the song just for the music…I don’t listen to the lyrics…”
But you still KNOW the lyrics, right?
Right.

The words and music combined in a song has the power to CHANGE YOU. I’m not kidding. What I’m NOT saying is when you listen to rock music, you all of the sudden wanna kill someone.

Uh, no, that really actually does not happen.

What DOES happen is that it is a slow, gradual prosess. You don’t just all of the sudden wanna kill someone (if you wanna kill someone whenever you hear distortioned guitar riffs, either 1. get help or 2. just tell your son to to turn his amp down, or buy him something quiet, like a flute. He might not get nice remarks from other boys, though…).

When you listen to a song, it goes on in your head for days. Don’t tell me it doesn’t, we all know that it does happen. It gets stuck in your head, it can rule you and your thoughts and can even make you angry. The lyrics can convince you to do something maybe you don’t want to do.

THAT is why we need to be soooooo careful to what we listen to.

Music? Yes. Lyrics? Be choosy.

Oh yeah, and if you totally love rock, no prob, no matter what some people say, Christian rock is God-honoring. Just be careful around other Christians who don’t think its such a great idea. We need to respect people like that.

“1 Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. 2 For instance, one person believes it’s all right to eat anything. But another believer with a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables. 3 Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? They are responsible to the Lord, so let him judge whether they are right or wrong. And with the Lord’s help, they will do what is right and will receive his approval. 5 In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable. 6 Those who worship the Lord on a special day do it to honor him. Those who eat any kind of food do so to honor the Lord, since they give thanks to God before eating. And those who refuse to eat certain foods also want to please the Lord and give thanks to God. 7 For we don’t live for ourselves or die for ourselves. 8 If we live, it’s to honor the Lord. And if we die, it’s to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 9 Christ died and rose again for this very purpose—to be Lord both of the living and of the dead. 10 So why do you condemn another believer*? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11 For the Scriptures say,
“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bend to me,
and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.*’”
12 Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. 13 So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall. 14 I know and am convinced on the authority of the Lord Jesus that no food, in and of itself, is wrong to eat. But if someone believes it is wrong, then for that person it is wrong. 15 And if another believer is distressed by what you eat, you are not acting in love if you eat it. Don’t let your eating ruin someone for whom Christ died. 16 Then you will not be criticized for doing something you believe is good. 17 For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too. 19 So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.”

Yeah, it’s long, but doesn’t it make sense?

It’s not up to us to judge other people…

-Brooke

iPhone, I Am Rich!

leave a comment »

Yet again, another ridicules app was been released on the iPhone. This time it was pulled as fast as it appeared. “Armin Heinrich – I Am Rich” which dose nothing other then display a red gemstone on your screen. The only purpose is to remind you and others that you have enough money to waste on this senseless app. Apple has to approve the apps that show up in the store, and I figure they were thinking, ‘we will get a nice percent of profit of this app’. The best part about this app is that is costs ONLY $999.99! If it were still in the app store, I would buy it in a heartbeat…NOT!
